Our client is a growing and ambitious Kenyan SME company that manufactures and distributes various textile products. The company was founded in 2006 and went through a re-branding exercise in 2008. Since then, the company has been growing its business progressively, looking for opportunities within the region to establish its market share.

A position has now arisen for a substantive CEO to oversee the growing business,

As the CEO, the business leader will not only develop and implement strategies to grow the business but will also be responsible for the operational management of the Company. This is a full time position requiring dedication, commitment and passion. 

Job Description

The individual will report to the Board of Directors and will be responsible for:

  • Driving the Company’s strategy and innovation 
  • Growth of company’s brands market share position and specifically working with the staff teams and relevant partners to build and grow sustainable sales
  • Developing and growing of business relationships with both the trade and retail shops within Kenya and other regions
  • Developing our products and services portfolio and presence within Kenya and region. Also taking a lead in all initiatives ran by the company to ensure successful implementation and execution.
  • Managing the key functions of the business: finance, human resource, marketing and operations and managing all reporting systems to ensure accountability.
  • Dealing with all statutory bodies to ensure that all obligations are met in a timely manner
  • Developing mutually beneficial relationships with industry stakeholders, business organizations and media.  

Qualifications

  • University Graduate – MBA Holder preferably
  • Passionate about investing time in building a young business
  • A visionary

  • Has strong analytical skills
  • Proven organizing and management skills
  • Has prior in-depth exposure to running operational, financial and human resource functions within a business/ organization
  • Has a flair for sales and marketing

  • Self-driven and highly organized with a passion for achieving results
  • An honest, God fearing and courageous person
