JOB PURPOSE – SUMMARY
The SEO Manager will oversee and execute search engine optimization strategies to improve the online visibility and ranking of a company's website. This role involves leading a team or working independently to optimize website content, structure, and technical elements, ultimately driving organic traffic, improving search engine rankings, and enhancing the overall online presence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Formulate and implement comprehensive SEO strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Conduct thorough keyword research and analysis to identify growth opportunities.
- Optimize on-page elements, including meta tags, content, URL structures, page speed, etc.… for improved search engine rankings.
- Plan and execute link building strategies while leveraging provided vendors.
- Exhibits a clear understanding of overall client brand messaging and goals and manages the development of content for search engine marketing purposes, including but not limited to, keyword generation, blog and social media copy creation and website copywriting.
- Conduct regular website audits to identify and address technical SEO issues.
- Collaborate with web developers to implement technical enhancements that improve site performance and user experience.
- Research topics and provide outlines for writers, incorporating SEO best practices and content campaigns/strategies.
- Develop daily routines and insights to monitor performance and SEO growth.
- Assist in setting KPIs and conducting regular audits/analyses of SEO performance, communicating results/outcomes at a high level.
- Develop, manage, monitor, and execute a transparent SEO strategic plan and vision that aligns with the company’s goals and metrics.
- Generate regular reports on key SEO metrics and provide insights for continuous improvement.
PROFESSIONAL, TECHNICAL SKILLS AND PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- A minimum of 5 years of demonstrable experience as an SEO Manager, or similar role, showcasing successful development and execution of SEO strategies.
- Track record of driving significant organic traffic growth and improving search engine rankings, especially at the local level.
- In-depth knowledge of SEO principles, search engine algorithms, and ranking factors.
- Proficiency in using SEO tools and analytics platforms for performance monitoring and reporting.
- Solid understanding of technical SEO aspects, including website audits, crawl analysis, and resolution of technical issues.
- Strong communication skills to convey SEO strategies, insights, and recommendations.
- Results-oriented with a focus on achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) and business objectives.
- Develop, execute and monitor keyword rankings with proven data.
- Understand Google Quality rater guidelines.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on SEO industry trends, best practices, and algorithm changes.
