Background
Jacaranda Health is a nonprofit organization whose mission for the last eight years has been to improve maternal and newborn health outcomes in the public health system. We work hand-in-hand with governments, including county health management teams and Ministries of Health, to deploy affordable and scalable solutions through public hospitals, where the majority of underserved mothers and babies receive care. These solutions include PROMPTS, an AI-enabled text messaging service for mothers, and MENTORS, a facility-based training program equipping frontline nurses with lifesaving skills and knowledge. In Kenya, we are in 22 of Kenya’s busiest counties, who co-own our interventions, and work with us to design what and how we measure impact for effective decision-making. These partnerships have helped us reach 2.4 million women with our solutions across 1,100+ health centers and hospitals and will continue to be the cornerstone of how we approach the path to national scale in Kenya. We have expanded operations within Eswatini and Ghana.
Jacaranda Health is an equal opportunity employer. We evaluate qualified applicants without regards to race, colour, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status, and other legally protected characteristics.

Personalized SMS nudge messages aimed at improving key behaviors linked with better outcomes (eg. reminders for prenatal care check-ups or infant immunization by schedule)
An AI-enabled clinical help desk that answers incoming questions from mothers, and sparks a rapid referral chain involving trained nurses if a risk is identified during the exchange.
An anonymized feedback channel for women to continuously report on their experiences of care, including its clinical quality and level of respect, which is shared with health system managers.
The Senior Product Coordinator will lead complex analytics that will inform the design, testing and prioritization of different digital products that will help advance Jacaranda Health’s goal to serve 10 million mums by 2030. This role will support a rapidly growing team that drives the creation, improvement and large scale implementation of maternal and child-focussed interventions in Kenya. This role is responsible for working closely with various teams to identify improvements to existing digital solutions, providing data-driven insights that drive the design of new features and improvement of existing solutions. They will also play a key role in managing the product life-cycle, from backlog prioritization to feature release, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and needs of our users.
This role will provide data expertise, design input, guidance and support to the Global Programs and Product division and Product Management teams. The Product Coordinator will analyze the effectiveness of Jacaranda’s Health digital products.
