The Sales Coordinator is responsible for driving business growth through market research, client relationship management, and developing strategies to expand the company's customer base. The position involves leading a sales team, ensuring sales targets are met, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver excellent service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Business Development and Revenue Generation
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities.
- Actively network and build relationships with potential clients, industry stakeholders, and key decision-makers.
- Develop strategic plans to penetrate new markets and expand the company's customer base.
- Enhance revenue generation through monitoring sales performance, tracking targets, and ensuring timely follow-up with clients for payment.
2. Market Research and Strategy
- Formulate effective marketing strategies to drive business growth and market penetration.
- Lead the team in identifying and mapping new customer segments in emerging areas to expand the market presence.
- Proactively identify and implement innovative strategies to penetrate both existing and new markets, ensuring a sustained competitive advantage.
3. Client Relationship Management
- Establish and nurture long-term relationships with clients by understanding their energy needs and providing customized solutions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for anchor customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, delivering expert guidance on energy solutions.
4. Sales Presentations and Negotiations
- Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations tailored to the unique needs of businesses and anchor customers.
- Negotiate and manage complex contracts, ensuring mutual benefit and alignment with company objectives.
- Close deals effectively to meet and exceed sales targets.
5. Sales Reporting
- Maintain comprehensive records of sales activities, client interactions, and sales pipeline status.
- Provide accurate and timely sales performance reports to management, highlighting successes, challenges, and opportunities.
- Track market feedback and contribute insights into refining sales strategies.
6. Collaboration
- Collaborate with internal teams such as technical teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Provide feedback to internal stakeholders to drive product and process improvements.
- Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams to address and resolve any issues promptly.
7. Sales Team Leader
- Provide regular reports on the Sales Executives' target achievements and performance.
- Oversee that Sales Executives manage the Sales and Customer Experience Representatives effectively to ensure productivity and alignment with company goals.
- Resolve any issues related to the sales team and escalate to management when necessary.
- Coordinate with management to make adjustments in the sales team, processes, or targets as required to optimize performance.
8. Team Coaching and Development
- Provide coaching and mentorship to the Sales Executives fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Conduct training sessions to enhance team members knowledge of the company's sales strategies, and industry trends.
- Offer guidance on effective client engagement, negotiation techniques, and best practices to achieve individual and team sales goals.
- Assist the Organization Development Specialist to set clear sales targets for sales team members and monitor their performance against these objectives, providing constructive feedback and support to drive improvement.
- Act as a resource for resolving challenges, sharing insights, and driving collective success across the sales team.
Key Skills & Competencies
- A proven track record of 5+ years of experience in sales or business development within the renewable energy industry.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong ability to manage, motivate, and develop team members to enhance their performance and achieve sales targets.
