Head of Sales – Nairobi, Kenya 


As a rapidly growing forward-thinking solar energy company, NEOSUN is extending our Global Sales and Business Development team and seeking for a multi-faceted solar marketer and exceptional people manager to lead our Kenyan team in reaching the solar sales plan assigned to the region. 


Area of responsibility:

  • Full responsibility for commercial sales and business development plan in Kenyan market;
  • Ensuring the fulfillment of company sales and revenue plans for Kenya region;
  • Driving sales strategy across multiple channels with clear understandable metrics;
  • Supervise the sales team in reaching the sales targets;
  • Personal development of new leads in the B2B segment while growing sales and supporting existing customers;
  • Monitoring the timeliness of receiving payments from clients;
  • Resolve customer inquiries and complaints;
  • Collaborating with marketing team in making lead generation, acquisition, participation in thematic exhibitions, conferences, and forums;
  • Preparing a bunch of sales bullets for organizing and presenting information for clients – you need to cover all grounds;
  • Project owning of the client’s journey from end to end towards the NEOSUN brand;
  • Close deals!


Requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Experience in active sales of renewable energy solutions for B2B market 5+ years with strong background in sales of technical solutions;
  • People management experience (at least 3-4 team members in direct reporting), settling the sales plan, metrics, KPI's, reporting; 
  • Specific knowledge of solar and other renewable energy technologies are required;
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to thrive in an international environment;
  • Professional networking and stakeholders partnerships in the renewable energy business environment;
  • Project management experience to cover whole sales cycle;
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of sales negotiation, ethics and integrity;
  • Technical education preferable;
  • Fluent or native English is required (C1+);
  • Experience of working or studying abroad within international settings will be a plus;
  • Flexibility, ability to adapt to changing goals and set priorities;
  • High level of independence, initiative, result orientation;
  • Drivers license;
  • Willingness for frequent business trips to the clients location and companies offices.
