Job Description:
We're seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Head of Sales to manage our sales team and help us achieve our customer acquisition and overall strategy objectives.
As the Head of Sales, you'll be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans to achieve sales targets, expanding our customer base, and maintaining accurate records of leads, prospects, pricing, sales, and activities. You'll also work collaboratively across teams
Responsibilities:
- Own all plans and strategies for developing business and achieving the company's sales goals
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets for both B2C & B2B to expand our customer base
- Review sales performance by analyzing performance reports and investigating factors impacting sales
- Train and appraise individual team members to ensure targets are met
- Provide input on sales incentive structure and key performance indicators to help monitor targets
- Maintain accurate records of leads/prospects, pricing, sales, and activities
- Work collaboratively across teams - including Marketing, Finance, Operation, and Product
- Oversee sales team recruitment and create training programs to train new and existing employees in the sales department
- Establish and foster partnerships and relationships with key customers both externally and internally
- Set an example for team members of commitment, sales activities, work ethics and habits, and personal character
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
- Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives
- Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations
- Understand category-specific landscapes and trends
- Direct, manage and maintain contact with clients/customers for feedback and to obtain client/customer satisfaction
Requirements and Skills:
- Proven sales executive / head of sales experience, meeting or exceeding targets
- Previous experience as a sales executive, sales manager, or sales and marketing director
- Ability to communicate, present, and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions
- Strength in problem-solving, issue-resolution, ability to work in a deadline-driven work environment, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close (end to end)
- Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services
- Proven ability to position products against competitors
- Demonstrable experience as Head of Sales, developing client-focused, differentiated, and achievable solutions
- Strong leadership and team building skills
- Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Commerce/management degree or equivalent
