Field Marketing Officer

M-Kopa
Contract
On-site
Nairobi, Nairobi Province, Kenya

We are looking for a Field Marketing Officer to join our Mobility Department as we scale up and drive digital and financial inclusion across our markets.

Leading a field-based sales effort, you will act as a brand ambassador and growth catalyst in your community—driving sales of our electric motorbikes through customer engagement, lead generation, and direct marketing activities. You’ll combine strategy and hustle to meet sales targets, while championing M-KOPA’s mission on the ground.

About Us

At M-KOPA, we’re on a mission to make life-enhancing products accessible to everyone. As a Field Marketing Officer, you will be at the forefront of this vision—interacting directly with potential customers, supporting product launches, and gathering insights that help us continuously improve. This is not just a sales role—it is a community-facing position that brings our brand to life through personal connections, product demos, and local events.

You will generate leads through field visits, referrals, and local networks; convert those leads into loyal customers by listening to their needs and offering tailored solutions; and provide feedback on market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activity to help us stay ahead. In doing so, you’ll also contribute to building a new product division from the ground up, while growing your own career in a dynamic, startup-style team within a larger, supportive company.

This is an on-site role; you would be working from our offices in Nairobi, Kenya, partnering with a diverse group of employees from our different markets and locations across the UK, Europe, and Africa. You will be reporting to the Sales Operations Manager.

Expertise

To thrive in this role, you will need to bring a combination of educational grounding and practical field experience. You should hold a Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, or a related field, and have at least one year of professional experience in sales or marketing—ideally in the automotive sector with direct-to-consumer exposure. You are comfortable working with Excel and mobile sales tools, using them to manage customer data and sales performance effectively. What sets you apart is your drive for excellence, your ability to hit targets, and your enthusiasm for translating insights from the field into new initiatives and process improvements. You take pride in your ability to connect authentically with customers, build lasting relationships, and represent the brand with integrity. If you're excited by the opportunity to work in a startup-like environment within a larger company, and you thrive in collaborative, high-energy teams, then you’re likely to be a great fit.
