Uliza Events is a start up providing event solutions, specializing in identification wristbands, glow-in-the-dark products, and promotional items for events, hotels, theme parks, schools, and corporate functions.


With operations across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Ghana, and Nigeria, we are expanding our international footprint. We are seeking an experienced Operations & Business Development Executive to manage client relationships, secure partnerships, and oversee operations both locally and internationally.

Role Overview:

As an Operations & Business Development Executive, your primary responsibility will be to identify and secure partnerships while ensuring smooth operations for international clients. You will travel to manage relationships and explore opportunities to grow our brand across multiple countries.

Key Responsibilities:1. Business Development :

  • Proactively identify and secure partnerships with event organizers, corporate clients, theme parks, and malls.
  • Develop and pitch tailored solutions for wristbands, promotional products, and event services.
  • Build long-term relationships with high-value clients and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Attend international trade shows, networking events, and client meetings to promote Uliza Events.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to design and implement strategies that align with business goals.


2. Operations Management:

  • Manage client accounts and ensure timely delivery of products and services.
  • Oversee daily operational processes, ensuring timely delivery of wristbands and event solutions to clients.
  • Manage coordination with fulfillment centers in Uganda, Zambia, Tanzania, and other branches.
  • Monitor stock levels and liaise with the stock and printing team to ensure inventory availability for orders.
  • Resolve logistical and operational challenges to ensure smooth delivery and client satisfaction.


3. Reporting and Accountability:

  • Track key metrics such as revenue growth, client retention, and partnership performance.
  • Prepare detailed reports on international client accounts and operational updates.
  • Analyze campaign results and provide actionable insights for improvement.


4. Client Relationship Management:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for international client accounts, addressing their needs and ensuring timely communication.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., printing, logistics) to deliver high-quality products and services.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups with clients to ensure their satisfaction and resolve any issues.

  • Experienced Professional: You have 2+ years of experience in business development or operations management, preferably within Kenya , international clients or in the events industry.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Event Management, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of achieving business development targets and managing operations.
  • Experience with international clients or working in multicultural environments is an advantage.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in tools like Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM systems.
  • Willingness to travel internationally for client meetings and partnerships.
