- Develop, implement, and continuously improve safety, health, and environmental policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations as well as industry best practices.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of the manufacturing plant, equipment, and processes to identify potential hazards, unsafe practices, and environmental risks.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to management and employees on safety, health, and environmental matters, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and safe work practices.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses to determine root causes, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of safety, health, and environmental activities, including incident reports, risk assessments, and safety data sheets.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies, external auditors, and stakeholders on safety, health, and environmental compliance matters, ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
- Monitor and analyze safety, health, and environmental performance metrics to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for optimization.
- Coordinate emergency response planning and drills to ensure readiness to effectively respond to incidents and emergencies.
- Stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and regulations in the field of safety, health, and environment, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Champion a culture of safety, health, and environmental stewardship throughout the organization, fostering a collaborative and proactive approach to risk management and sustainability.
Requirements
Academic Qualification:
- Bachelorβs degree in health and safety, environmental science, engineering, or related field.
- Professional certification in occupational health and safety (e.g., CSP, CIH, CRSP) preferred.
