Job Title: Cook - International Cuisine

Gross Salary Range: KSH 30,000 - 40,000

About the Role:

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Cook to join their dynamic hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing a wide range of international cuisine from scratch, including dishes inspired by Italian, French, American, and Asian culinary traditions. This position requires a passionate individual with a strong background in professional kitchens, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to high culinary standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook high-quality meals from scratch, reflecting a variety of international cuisines.
• Assist in planning menus and ensuring the consistency of food preparation.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in accordance with food safety regulations.
• Work collaboratively within a team and assist with various kitchen tasks as needed.
• Manage stock levels, conduct inventory checks, and assist in food cost control.
• Follow instructions and standard operating procedures set by the Hospitality Manager.
• Deliver meals on time and maintain kitchen operations during high-pressure situations.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience working in restaurants or international hotels.
• Valid Food Handling Certificate.
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to take direction from supervisors.
• Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in stock keeping and kitchen inventory management.
• High personal standards for cleanliness and hygiene.
• A team player with a proactive attitude, punctuality, and flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings.
