Warehouse Manager- FMCG
Job Location: Nairobi, Baba Dogo
Job Summary
The Warehouse Manager will oversee the efficient receipt, storage,
and dispatch of a wide range of goods. The ideal candidate will have
extensive experience in warehouse and logistics management,
particularly in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods sector. The Warehouse
Manager will ensure that productivity targets are met and maintain
the highest standards of warehouse practices and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
Manage and oversee the daily
operations of the warehouse, including inventory management, order
fulfillment, and shipping/receiving.
Ensure the warehouse operates at
peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal,
by supervising, organizing, directing, and training warehouse
employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operation
goals.
Inventory Management
Maintain proper inventory levels
and ensure accurate records are kept.
Implement and oversee inventory
control procedures to maximize accuracy and minimize loss.
Logistics Coordination
Coordinate with logistics
partners to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
Develop and maintain
relationships with key logistics suppliers.
Team Management
Lead, coach, and mentor a team of
warehouse staff, ensuring a high level of performance.
Conduct regular performance
reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Health and Safety
Ensure that all warehouse
activities comply with company policies and legal guidelines.
Implement and enforce safety
protocols to create a safe working environment.
Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities for cost
reduction, efficiency improvements, and enhanced customer service.
Implement and manage continuous improvement initiatives.
Experience
Minimum of 7-10 years of
experience in warehouse and logistics management, preferably within
the FMCG sector.
Proven track record of managing
warehouse operations and logistics in a high-volume environment.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelorβs degree in supply
chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related
field.
Strong leadership and team
management skills.
Excellent organizational and
multitasking abilities.
Proficiency in warehouse
management software and MS Office Suite.
Strong analytical and
problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and
interpersonal skills.
