Technical Supervisor- Tracking and Fleet Management Solutions

Organization/Reporting line:

 

Tracking and Fleet Management Solutions Manager

Place of work/Travel:

Nairobi, Kenya

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coordination of tracking technicians while at field to ensure smooth and quality installations.
  2. Daily update of the tracking technical database with proper records for Checkups, installations, and removals.
  3. Constant updating of clients’ units in the tracking platforms as reported by technicians in liaison with the System Administrators.
  4. Testing device functionalities in the platforms upon completion installations
  5. Internal and external customers' technical support.
  6. Configuration and Integration of various hardware to the running tracking platforms.
  7. System set up and customer support in line with client SOP’s.
  8. Relieving the System Administrators.
  9. Supporting the sales and Account managers teams on client presentations and demos
  10. Research and new product development
  11. Migration of tracking devices
  12. Site visits and surveys on client’s fleet.
  13. Coordination and liaison with other team members on implementation of tracking solutions
  14. Support in system training of clients and staff for continuous development and improvement

Principal Outputs of this Role:

  1. Timely submission of reports.
  2. Quick TAT in solving internal and external concerns.
  3. Complaint resolution
  4. Contracts management

Accountability:

The Technical Supervisor is accountable to the Tracking and Fleet Management Solutions Manager. The responsibilities will be monitored and managed through the mid-year and annual performance review and supported through the monitoring f KPIs.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A Diploma/ Degree in Mechanical Engineering, IT or business studies is preferred.
  • Must have (3) years of continuous work experience in the relevant field at a Supervisory level.
  • Experience in the Vehicle telematics industry is an added advantage.
