We're looking for a strategy intern who will work closely with M-KOPA's senior management team and other cross-functional teams to support ongoing ad-hoc strategy projects.
You will be in a full-time, 10 week internship rolling up to our Chief Product Officer. Based in Nairobi, your work will be global in scope, covering all markets of operations: Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria, Ghana and South Africa. As such, it may require travel to other markets of operations to engage with customers and in-country teams.
Prepare presentations for M-KOPA leadership, in-country teams, and team members to lead strategic clarity and agreement
Build financial models to analyse economics of strategic investments and new product launches
Conduct industry research and competitive analysis
Develop departmental performance dashboards, coordinating with product and data teams to define and measure Goals
Support M-KOPA's quarterly business planning and prioritisation process
Identify and scope opportunities to improve operations, process, efficiency and output

Have 5+ years of work experience in strategy, business operations, management consulting, product management, research, or comparable roles
Are currently enrolled in an MBA or other relevant master's degree program
Are concise with analytics and have excellent experience with excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets) modelling and making data-driven decisions
Love solving open-ended business problems, from identifying the problem that needs to be solved through developing relevant recommendations and driving implementation
Are excited to be an advocate for our customers in everything you do
Are a collaborator who can work with others
Love working in a dynamic company, succeed outcomes with urgency and someone who can own output on high visibility projects.
Have emerging markets experience (particularly in East or West Africa)
Have a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
