We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior HR Manager to execute on our people strategy and operations across our various entities in Africa.

  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract top talent aligned with business needs.

  • Partner with hiring managers to ensure workforce planning supports operational growth.

  • Lead employer branding initiatives to position the company as an Employer of Choice (EVP).

  • Implement effective onboarding processes to enhance the employee experience.

  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are effectively communicated and adhered to.

  • Oversee grievance and disciplinary processes in compliance with labour laws and company policies.

  • Drive employee engagement initiatives to foster workplace satisfaction and productivity.

  • Support leadership in cultivating a positive workplace culture.

  • Ensure all HR activities comply with employment laws and regulatory requirements.

  • Oversee HRIS systems and ensure teams maintain accurate HR records.

  • Implement and monitor HR policies to ensure consistency across the businesses.

  • Provide final approval on payroll inputs and oversee employee benefits administration.

  • Drive performance management processes, aligning them with business objectives.

  • Support managers in setting clear performance goals and conducting regular reviews.

  • Develop and implement training initiatives to enhance employee skills.

  • Oversee leadership development programmes for emerging leaders.

  • Lead HR initiatives supporting business transformation and change management.

  • Collaborate with leadership to ensure smooth execution of restructuring or expansion projects.

  • Drive HR digital transformation to enhance efficiency and automation.

  • Ensure competitive compensation structures align with industry benchmarks.

  • Oversee the execution of reward and recognition programmes.

  • Work with finance teams to manage HR budgets effectively.



Requirements

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 7+ years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a senior HR role.

  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation and compliance for West and East Africa (highly desirable).

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Experience in marketplaces or internet SaaS companies (highly advantageous).

  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required.
