Position Overview:
The Sales Team Leader is an independent intermediary responsible for overseeing a team of sales agents at assigned satellite branches. This role focuses on ensuring that sales agents meet their set targets by introducing prospective clients and assisting them in subscribing to Fin Kenyaβs products in compliance with the company's operational policies and procedures. The Sales Team Leader is not an employee of Fin Kenya but serves in a contractual capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management and Planning:
- Develop and maintain a daily, weekly, and monthly planner for each sales agent, setting clear targets and monitoring their progress.
- Keep a daily record of all loan applications and sales completed by agents, ensuring team members are aware of their progress toward targets.
- Recruit, train, and onboard new sales agents to meet the recruitment targets set by the Sales Manager.
- Sales Target Achievement:
- Ensure the sales team meets daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets for the satellite office as set by the Sales Manager.
- Organize daily telephonic or virtual meetings with the Branch Manager or Sales Manager to update on agent activities and expected sales outcomes.
- Sales Operations:
- Ensure agents stay active and submit loan applications regularly.
- Assist agents in meeting their sales targets by providing guidance, support, and necessary resources.
- Compliance and Conduct:
- Adhere to Fin Kenyaβs operational policies and procedures, ensuring that no commitments are made on behalf of Fin Kenya without proper authorization.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding company operations and customer information, and comply with Fin Kenyaβs data protection policies.
- Ensure that agents follow company protocols, including not carrying competitor-branded materials on Fin Kenya premises.
- Reporting and Coordination:
- Report directly to the Branch Manager or Sales Manager, providing regular updates on team performance and sales targets.
- Act as the primary point of contact for issues related to sales team performance and sales operations at the satellite branch.
Key Requirements:- Experience and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a sales environment.
- Strong understanding of sales processes and ability to guide and motivate a team of sales agents.
- Experience in recruitment, onboarding, and managing sales agents is preferred.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple agents.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to achieving sales targets.
- Ability to track and report on sales performance.
