Position: Logistics & Supply Chain, Senior level (Talent Pool)

Experience: Over 8 years

Location: Global

Industries: Humanitarian, INGO, NGO.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for logistics and supply chain operations to support humanitarian programs and initiatives.

  • Oversee the procurement, storage, and distribution of goods and materials in compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements.

  • Lead the coordination of transportation and delivery services to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of humanitarian aid.

  • Manage inventory levels and warehouse facilities to optimize storage space and minimize inventory holding costs.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and logistics partners to facilitate efficient supply chain management.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to logistics and supply chain teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and quality standards.

  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of logistics and supply chain activities, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures as needed.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to streamline logistics processes and enhance operational efficiency.

  • Prepare and present regular reports and updates on logistics and supply chain activities to senior management and stakeholders.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management, preferably in the humanitarian sector.

  • Proven track record of successfully leading logistics and supply chain operations in complex and challenging environments.

  • Strong understanding of international procurement regulations, logistics protocols, and supply chain best practices.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools, such as ERP systems and MS Office Suite.

  • Fluency in English; proficiency in other languages is a plus.

  • Willingness to travel and work in remote or unstable locations, if required.
