ICAP at Columbia University, a global health leader situated within the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health in New York City, seeks highly qualified candidates to serve as Lab Technologist – Marsabit, Kenya. The incumbent will be responsible in implementing the day-to-day laboratory, activities of a CDC-funded disease surveillance project at government health facilities. This position will be based at Marsabit County Referral Hospital

ICAP urgently seeks highly qualified and experienced candidates to fill the Lab Technologist position by October 2024.The successful candidate will a diploma in laboratory technology and current registration as a laboratory technologist with KMLTTB. At least 3 years of experience working at or with public health facilities in Kenya, Proficiency in English and Kiswahili languages. Ability to speak any local language will be an advantage, Previous public health surveillance or research experience would be an added advantage and ability to manage research at facility-level 

The Lab Technologist will also have experience working effectively as a part of diverse staff teams, and contributing to successful collaborations with donors, host-country ministries of health, and civil society.
