We are looking for a Junior Legal Counsel to join our Legal Team; as we scale up and drive digital and financial inclusion across our markets.

As part of M-KOPA's legal team, you'll lead the provision of essential corporate and commercial legal guidance across the organization. Acting as both a key contributor and proactive organizer, you'll facilitate high-quality document management, research, and compliance support.

Through maintaining statutory records, managing corporate due diligence disclosures, and overseeing shared document platforms, you’ll ensure seamless and efficient legal operations, contributing to the team’s success and our organization’s compliance across all jurisdictions."

This is a hybrid role, you would be working from our offices in Nairobi, Kenya partnering with a diverse group of employees from our different markets and locations across the UK, Europe and Africa. You will be reporting to the Head of Commercial Legal.

Expertise

We’re looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented legal professional who can lead a wide range of corporate and commercial legal functions across M-KOPA’s global operations. Ideal candidates will have experience drafting and reviewing contracts, familiarity with regulatory compliance, and an ability to maintain critical statutory records. Proficiency in managing document systems, conducting due diligence, and supporting insurance processes is essential.

If you have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to navigate corporate legal matters, you may be a great fit for our team.
