JOB TITLE: IT Assistant
TYPE OF CONTRACT: SSA-4

DURATION: 11 months
BACKGROUND
TEC (SCOPE) has set up a Deduplication and Adjudication Center in Nairobi, to support Country offices (CO) in the Region with their deduplication efforts. The process involves the deduplication engine, (dubbed MMABIS) comparing a single biometric identity against all other biometric templates in the database. Each identity is given a “matching score” which designates the degree of similarity between new identity data and data that was already in the database.
Adjudication is the manual process that allows for the administration of potential biometric duplicates. Questionable biometric matching results such as suspicious duplicate(s) are flagged and forwarded to human experts for manual adjudication via a specialized visual tool. The objective of the adjudication process is to assist the deduplication engine when it cannot make an absolute decision on whether an identity has a duplicate.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of Adjudicator Supervisor, the Adjudicators will perform the following tasks:
• Participate in Training to bring them up to speed with the skills required to perform their duties.
• Analyse Biometric data in SCOPE and clarify the identity of the individuals.
• Based on the threshold provided identify the individuals as either Unique, Duplicate or Undecided.
• Handle all cases with utmost integrity and caution.
• Provide relevant and timely feedback, concerns/queries to the Supervisor.
• Always seek assistance from the supervisor when challenged before adjudicating a case.
• Be responsible and take appropriate care of the assigned electronic equipment.
• Perform any other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
• Good interpersonal and communication Skills.
• Computer literate and can easily use any Software.
• Ability to analyze data with a keen eye for details.
• Ability to work under pressure with or/without supervision.
• Ability to work in and with a team.
• Knowledge of Biometrics and data analysis will be added advantage.
Education:
Minimum of Diploma but preferably University Degree.
Language:
Fluent in English both spoken and written
