The internship is unpaid for the first 3 months with the opportunity to be permanent based on performance.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment reconciliation.
- Help maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Conduct research on financial trends, regulations, and best practices.
- Collaborate with team members on special projects and initiatives.
- Provide general administrative support to the finance/accounting department as needed.
Requirements
- A reliable laptop/computer and a good internet connection
- A quiet area to work from
- Availability 5 days a week during business hours
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Current enrolment in a Bachelorβs or Masterβs degree program in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel (Applicants will be tested on their ability to do basic functions)
- Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Zoho Books).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Eagerness to learn and take initiative.
- Prior internship or relevant work experience is a plus but not required.
