Job Description

A client of ours is looking for an experienced Grower Relationship Manager with a solid background in Agricultural Economics. This field-based role is pivotal in building and managing relationships with growers, ensuring their success, and addressing various farming challenges. The role involves coordinating activities, providing advisory services, and overseeing critical projects for the agricultural community. Location: Remote area of North Coast, KwaZulu-Natal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grower Relationships: Develop and manage relationships with commercial and small-scale growers to support their operations and increase profitability.
  • Advisory Services: Offer expert advice and represent grower interests in all areas of their business.
  • Project Management: Oversee and coordinate projects.
  • Legal & Compliance: Handle legal and compliance matters such as lease agreements and corporate permits.
  • Financial Oversight: Lead budgeting, financial modelling, and strategic planning

Qualifications:

  • Degree: Agricultural Economics from a recognized university.
  • Matric: Completed Matric with core Mathematics (not literacy).
  • Experience: 5 years of experience in a field-based role within agriculture or related industries.

  • Personality: Outgoing, proactive, and able to build lasting relationships with growers.
  • Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, excellent financial acumen, and ability to navigate legal and compliance issues.
  • Interests: Passionate about outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, rugby, and golf.
  • Vehicle: Own vehicle required.
