Responsibilities
- Assist with research on gender and inclusion issues within humanitarian, NGO, and INGO contexts.
- Analyze data related to gender disparities, vulnerabilities, and needs in specific populations.
- Review existing literature and reports to identify best practices and lessons learned in gender-inclusive humanitarian programming.
- Contributing to the development of reports and presentations on gender equality findings.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of gender-sensitive projects and programs.
- Contribute to the design of training materials and workshops on gender mainstreaming and inclusion.
- Support in organizing events, meetings, and focus group discussions related to gender and inclusion initiatives.
- Assist in advocacy efforts aimed at promoting gender equality and social inclusion within humanitarian response.
- Help in drafting communication materials, including blog posts, social media content, and newsletters, to raise awareness about gender issues.
- Participate in outreach activities targeting diverse communities to promote gender equality and inclusion principles.
- Support the delivery of training sessions on gender-sensitive approaches and tools for staff, partners, and community members.
- Help analyze program data to assess the effectiveness of gender and inclusion interventions and identify areas for improvement.
- Support in documenting case studies, success stories, and lessons learned from gender-inclusive initiatives.
- Assist in preparing progress reports, donor reports, and other documentation highlighting the impact of gender and inclusion programming.
- Take advantage of learning opportunities, such as workshops, seminars, and webinars, to deepen understanding of gender and inclusion concepts and practices.
- Seek mentorship from experienced professionals in the fields of humanitarian work and gender equality.
- Reflect on personal learning and experiences to enhance professional growth and contribute to ongoing improvements in gender-inclusive programming.

- Technological skills: Proficiency in using common office software (e.g., Word, Excel) and familiarity with relevant online platforms or databases might be beneficial.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as gender studies, women's studies, international development, social work, sociology, anthropology, human rights, public health, or a related field is often preferred.
- Strong understanding of gender dynamics, women's rights, LGBTQ+ rights, social inclusion, and intersectionality.
- Familiarity with key concepts such as gender mainstreaming, gender-based violence, gender-responsive programming, and inclusive humanitarian action.
- Ability to conduct research, data collection, analysis, interpretation, and synthesis of information related to gender and inclusion issues.
- Experience or knowledge of project management principles and practices, including planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Ability to assist in the development and coordination of gender-sensitive programs and initiatives.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy is essential.
- Should be able to maintain accurate and precise records, perform detailed work, and handle a large volume of work quickly and accurately under time constraints.
- Should be able to work independently with minimum of supervision.
- Courtesy, tact, and the ability to work effectively with people of different national and cultural backgrounds.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively,.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English, UN working languages, Spanish, French, Chinese, Arabic, and Russian is an advantage.
- Adherence to health and safety code of conduct and commitment to sustaining a healthy and safe work environment.
