Job Title: Finance Intern
Duration: Three (3) Months
Location: Nairobi
Profile Introduction
Our client multinational logistics seeks to
bring on board a finance Intern who will be
responsible for maintaining accounts payable transactions and
support the administration
requirements of the business.
Overall Responsibilities
- Quality
Assurance: Comply with relevant finance and general SOP
- Assist in
internal and external audits
- Administrative:
Consumables Management
- Finance
Operations: Purchase Orders Capture, Invoice capturer/Matching
- Payments
posting, Supplier payments; supplier statements reconciliation; Statutory
compliance and returns, Bank reconciliations and Client Billing and Invoicing
- Maintenance of Environmental Management System:
Participate in the implementation of departmental and site EMS objectives.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s
Degree in Commerce/ Finance/Accounting/Administration/Business Management.
- Preferred
Semi Qualified accountant – CPAK/ ACCA
- Prior
experience in a Freight Forwarding Company is an added advantage
- Good IT
and Excel skills
- Good
verbal and written communication plus excellent telephonic skills
- Negotiation
and administrative skills
- Initiative
- To originate action beyond what is called for to achieve goals;
self-starting.
- Excellent
organisational and time-management (planning and monitoring) skills
- Ability
to work with other team members in achieving common goals
