Uliza Links is a leading digital media platform focused on credible, constructive journalism—not gutter press. Our goal is to deliver breaking news, insightful storytelling, and engaging digital content across multiple platforms.

We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Journalism Intern to join our fast-paced newsroom. This role requires real-time news reporting, digital content creation, and multimedia storytelling skills.

The right candidate will have the chance to secure full-time employment based on performance.


Requirements

News & Consistent Content Creation

  • Publish a minimum of 10 news articles daily on politics, entertainment, business, and trending stories.
  • Write fast, accurate, and engaging news stories while ensuring factual integrity.
  • Track and report breaking news in real time to keep Uliza Links active and relevant.
  • Develop exclusive and original stories beyond trending topics.

Digital Media & Content Production

  • Create visually appealing news graphics using Canva.
  • Edit short-form videos using CapCut for social media platforms.
  • Conduct voice-over tests and on-camera news reporting for digital content.
  • Engage with audiences on social media by posting and promoting news content.

Constructive Journalism & Ethical Reporting

  • Ensure credibility and fairness in all news reporting—no misinformation, no sensationalism.
  • Uphold ethical journalism standards and fact-check all stories.
  • Work with editors to refine storytelling and optimize content for digital audiences.

Qualifications & Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree (or ongoing studies) in Journalism, Media, Communication, or a related field.
  • Strong writing & editing skills with a passion for news reporting.
  • Ability to write and publish multiple news stories daily.
  • Proficiency in Canva (for graphics) and CapCut (for video editing).
  • Experience in voice-over and on-camera reporting.
  • Fast learner with a strong understanding of social media trends.
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to work in a fast-paced newsroom.
