Role Overview: Our client, a prominent solar company, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their innovative team in Nairobi. This role is crucial for someone with a strong background in mechanical aspects of solar projects and exceptional mechanical drafting skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design mechanical components and systems for solar energy projects using CAD and other mechanical design software.
- Develop detailed drafts and mechanical layouts for solar installations.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure technical requirements and project specifications are met.
- Supervise the manufacturing, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
- Perform stress tests and ensure all designs meet structural and environmental requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and support during the construction and operational phases of projects.
Skills and Proficiencies:
- Advanced proficiency in mechanical drafting and design software.
- Extensive experience in the design, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems in solar projects.
