A Luxury Travel group is looking for a CRUISE SPECIALIST- PLANNING to join their team
Responsibilities: The person doing this job will not be booking any cruises, they will be a ground operator for the Cruise Liners excursions in Southern Africa
Prepare competitive quotations and innovative itineraries
Build close relationships with suppliers
Rate negotiation & negotiate terms and conditions
Book accommodation, flights, allotments and all other services as required
Prepare excel costings and re-quotes
Ensure high attention to detail is always maintained
Focus on delivery excellence in customer service, internal and external (speed to replies/accuracy/creativity/file handling)
Assist with Cruise RFPs & proposals as required
Create and update tracking documents
Adhere to margin strategies as per company policy
Build close working relationship with the in- office Operations & Planning Team
Attend functions with Agents/Guests as required
Attend supplier training & Fam trips as required
Candidate Requirements:
Matric Certificate
Travel Diploma
Tour consultant experience at an intermediate level in an inbound tour-operating environment for a minimum of 3 years
Experience with costings and quoting
Excellent relationship building & negotiation skills
Excel experience is an advantage
Good product knowledge of Southern Africa
Team- work, and also be able autonomous when required
Office/administration skills
Understanding of on the ground operations and excellent quality control
