Position: Bar Supervisor
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the bar and lounge area, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
- Train, supervise, and schedule a team of bartenders and bar staff to ensure excellent service and a positive guest experience
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bar and lounge area, ensuring all equipment and supplies are in good working condition
- Develop and maintain relationships with guests, providing personalized service and addressing any concerns or issues in a timely and professional manner
- Collaborate with the Food and Beverage Manager to create and implement promotions, events, and special menus to drive sales and increase guest satisfaction
- Monitor and control costs, including labor, inventory, and waste, to ensure profitability and efficiency
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation standards to maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Assist with ordering and receiving inventory, as well as conducting regular inventory counts and reporting any discrepancies to management
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and customer preferences to continuously improve the bar offerings and service experience
- Act as a role model for the team, maintaining a positive and professional attitude at all times and providing guidance and support when needed
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role in a bar or restaurant setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Knowledge of various alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and their preparation methods
- Understanding of basic accounting principles and experience with inventory management
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Must be able to pass a background check and obtain necessary certifications for working on a cruise ship
